Golden Strawberry Shatter
82.46% THCA, 3.81% THC, 1.77% CBG, 2.52% CBGA 2.77% Terps, .93% Limonene, .82% b-Myrcene, .55 b-Caryophyllene, .2% Linalool
Golden Strawberry from Curio Wellness packs a punch for sure but also has some great value for micro dosing through out the day. Along with the high THC content it contains around 4% CBG, .93% limonene, and .82% b-myrcene.
One of the marketed effects for Golden Strawberry is arousal and erectile disfunction. CBG works as a vasodilator to increase the blood flow through out your body. The effects mentioned above are not the only use you can get out of CBG. I regularly use this shatter pre-workout to increase blood flow which in turn will bring more oxygen and nutrients to your muscles causing a much more effective workout.
Golden Strawberry is also great for its stress relieving properties with out causing paranoia like strains with similar properties. This comes in great use for me, suffering from severe depression and anxiety have a strain like this on the shelf helps me stay clear headed and not worry about the small stuff that would normally drive me crazy.
Micro dosing has become a huge part of my daily routine. I have found this strain mixed with some CBD concentrate to be one of the best combinations for my daytime relief. I do have to be careful though, if I take too much at once the sedative effects from the b-myrcene will have me looking for a place for a midday nap.
I’ve found this strain to be great in small doses during that day and in larger doses at night. If you are looking for a sweet and fruity strain to help cope with stress I highly recommend checking out the flower or the concentrate as they are both amazing.
Green Apple AKA Candy Apple is a sativa heavy strain from Liberty’s Vitality line. It is a cross between Blue Dream and Pineapple Express.
This strain is coming in at 13.14% THCA and 1.08 terps with a majority of that being b-Myrcene. Green Apple is reported to be used for pain, anxiety, seizures, and muscle spasms.
When I first bought the strain, I could tell right away it needed to cure for a little longer. I gave it a try and then decided to let it sit for a bit. A few weeks went by, I grabbed the jar to check it out and I was overwhelmed with a smell of fresh granny smith apples with earthy and piney undertones. Vaping these buds really bring out the apple taste and occasionally you may run into a slight pineapple taste.
For me my favorite methods of consuming Green Apple is through a vape or a dry pipe. When I use it through a bong it seems to spike my anxiety, if I’m low on CBD this could make me a little uncomfortable. However other than that I have really enjoyed this strain.
Shore Side Live Resin Review
Shore Side Live Resin by Culta has a pungent piney and peppery smell to it with earthy undertones and some hints of citrus.
I found a mid to low range temperature good for this strain, anything in the higher temperature range was a little too spicy for me. The flavor when I found the sweet spot was pretty on point. It had a little spice to it but not too much, heavy pine flavors followed by earthy and mild citrus tones.
For me shore side provided a relaxing body high and helped bring those stress levels down. I feel clear minded using this which is great when I’m focusing on a project. I also feel like it helps give me an extra bump of creativity when I find myself needing it.
If you’re into hybrid strains that don’t give you couch lock or give you too much of a head high, I would say give this a try. But I do warn you this strain does creep up on you.
Lemon Diesel Review
When you first hear the name Lemon Diesel most people will think Sour Diesel with a lemon strain. That is not the case though the parents of this strain are California Sour X Lost Coast OG. Upon opening the container, a diesel smell fills the air with a hint of lemon. After grinding up a few buds the lemon smell becomes more pungent.
I loaded up my water pipe, my preferred method of ingestion when testing a strain. The diesel taste really takes over when you light this strain up. I was hoping for a little more lemon, there is a hint there, but on the exhale, it was full diesel. As I sit and wait for the effects almost immediately a sedated feeling overcomes my body from head to toe. Clarity is felt through out my head and I can put my mind at ease and focus on the task at hand while relieving pain in my lower back and joints.
I am one to believe that THC levels aren’t everything and this strain can prove that. With 15% THCA I am right where I want to be after one snap out of the bong. The effects seem to diminish quickly though, which can be fine if you are able to medicate frequently.
When vaporizing this strain in my Pax it brings out more of that lemon flavor that drew me to this diesel strain. The effects differ from smoking it out of a bong, I tend to get more of a sedating effect with less clarity and psychoactivity.
Golden Ticket Badder
The Golden Ticket concentrates from Culta has been my go to strain since it has been on the market. This strain is a 50/50 Hybrid from the parents of Golden Goat and Face Off OG. This terpene loaded badder is coming in at 74.4% cannabinoids with 71.1% THCA and trace amounts of THC, CBDA, and CDBG.
Loaded with a total terpene count of 10.69%. The most notable terpene is B-Myrcene at a whopping 7.06%, followed by a-Pinene at 0.96%, B-Caryophyllene at 0.72%, and traces of various others.
When you pop the top to this badder you will get a very earthy smell with sharp citrus undertone that has a slight sting to it. Golden Ticket is great for depression and relieving stress. You’ll get a full body buzz with out being couch locked or on the verge of falling asleep.
You also might have a slightly trippy/psychedelic feeling depending on the dose. One of the properties that drew me to this badder was the myrcene content. The anit-inflammatory, analgesic, and sedative properties really appeal to me when recovering from a work out or when my lower back pain flares up.
White Sour - Cultivated By @Grassrootscompanies
It has been awhile (new jobs and deadlines) so I needed to motivate to get writing.
White Sour is a sativa dominant hybrid by Grassroots that is just a phenomenal blend. The scent on the nose was sweet and sour and rather strong. The taste was more on the sweet side but subtle. The buzz was upbeat but not overly exaggerated.
Since I prefer Indicas and indica dominant hybrids, this was a pleasant surprise. I would recommend this strain to anyone looking for a sharp mental buzz but not wanting to be overpowered with energy.
Big Sky country is the state of Montana... Big Sky feel, the state of Montana Silvertip from @libertycannabis
I bought this hybid at the wonderdul @maggies.baltimore today and I am pretty pleased I did.
The first smell from the bud had a good mellow skunk on the nose with hints of berry. The taste on first smoke was straight cotton candy...very sweet. The feeling is complex.
It is a very relaxed, upbeat feel. I know, sounds odd but is providing a super productive chill. I am absorbing everything going on but very relaxed with focused energy.
I could go out for a run or just chill on the couch and read. This is truly a well-rounded strain.
It's Been a few weeks but I am back to full-time strain testing.
The CBD diet has been a solid healer in my sports injury and I am now back to THC heavy strains.
I picked up @gleafmd Blueberry Skunk to break the skid. Wow. Glad I got into this very relaxing, delicious Indica. It was skunky on the nose and earthy with the smoke.
A light berry flavor came through and a whole lot of chill with it. The bud was absolutely beautiful.
I have really been on a kick of going through SunMed strains recently.
They are quality at the perfect price point. Agent Orange, Northern Lights, Cosmic Glue (preroll), Lemon Skunk, and even Jacked Up have been on the playing field lately. But the feature here is ACDC.
This 16% CBD is a miracle plant. After a recent meniscus strain from running, I have been using this solo and mixing it with the other strains daily.
The earthiness that flows from the jar upon opening is refreshing just like the bud itself. My body definitely benefits from having this flower around. I can only hope it becomes a mainstay. Not to mention it is great to absolutely halt any type of stress or anxiety you may have endured during the day.
Sticking with a recent fruit-themed array of different strains and troches (which I need to review and aside from some Northern Lights), I gave this Black Cherry Maduro from Grassroots a go.
A quarter was purchased from the wonderful Storehouse dispensary. This well manicured flower was beautiful; full of orange hairs and doused in purple hues. The bud had a subtle, sweet-earthy scent to the nose. The smoke had the faint flavor of fruit with a tea-like taste.
My new thing has been stick to one strain for a day or so before a write-up as my mood changes and often times so do the effects of a strain.
I didn't need much of the East Coast Sour Diesel from Grass Roots Cannabis to lock down the effects as a "steady" across the mood board.
This Sativa is a heavy upper no doubt about it. If you don't enjoy coffee in the morning but need a solid "get up and go" this is it. I can see this being a great go-to before a run, getting some laps done in the pool, maybe even before tailgating for the Raven's (or whatever team you dig) game...If you suffer from fatigue, I would recommend this as a daily med.
It has a great lemony scent and earthy smoke. The only downside is if you are an anxious or high-motor personality. It had me feeling a bit tense with a sense of urgency to "go, go, go!!!" Not necessarily a bad thing, but I didn't have much to do the first try smoking and that was an issue as I was very antsy.
Quickly thrown into a melty, vibrant feel, Strawberry Aurora by Curio was the perfect after work hybrid.
It definitely was an excellent source of vitamin chill. I decided to get this strain from the wonderful folks at Maggie’s in Hampden (Thanks, Narissa and Evan. I hope I spelled those names correctly).
Their recommendation was spot on. The initial scent was strong with floral fruits and a mild earth undertone. The rich fruit and cream taste to the smoke was very smooth through my Marley Natural Smoked Glass Bubbler. The flavors were very rich and prominent.
This particular strain would be great rolled up in your paper/wraps of choice (RAW 1g cones is a personal go-to). A few long pulls on the bubbler created a very nice, quick acting, melting feeling on the body.
Any bit of the work day that was “brought home” was soon discarded and forgotten. The body was nicely relaxed and the mind was clear. It made relaxing very easy and almost mandatory.
There's gold in them there hills…(insert hillbilly voice)” And if those hills are my mind, then yes, there is definitely gold there and I am flocking to it. Gold Rush by Nature's Heritage. There is a true earthy, floral smell to these beautiful buds upon opening the jar.
Perfectly manicured and dried, you could not ask for a more beautiful Sativa. The smoke is very smooth and easy. The taste is sweet as advertised (caramel and vanilla) with a garden herb undertone. With the initial smell and taste, you know this beauty was crafted the way nature intended, in the soil.
The feeling from this Sativa is true to form. Extremely uplifting and motivating. As an Indica fan that is naturally “wound-up,” I truly enjoyed this strain as it did not put me over-the-top with anxious energy.
We are proud to bring you the best cannabis mother earth has to offer. In ancient times, cannabis was used in China to treat ailments and prevent disease.
Throughout the following centuries, cannabis traveled across the globe and each locale perfected its own signature way of growing and cultivating the plant.
Culta’s Grapefruit Sour Dream
Culta deserves a round of applause for concocting this amazing hybrid strain. Immediately upon un-packaging, the smell of pine, diesel, and citrus took over my area. Nice sized buds with a spectrum of different greens and crawling with orange hairs.
Absolutely beautiful! This lovely combo only got more refined after grinding. First taste was through my Marley Natural Smoked Glass Bubbler. Smooth is an understatement. The taste was just as complex as the smell. It was a very smooth, sweet smoke with seemingly immediate effects.
Labeled as a hybrid, it was true to its classification in my personal findings. I had a very clear, relaxed, but focused high. Mentally elevating and physically healing. Great for a wake and bake, evening nightcap, or sometime in between.
Culta does a fantastic job on their strains but particularly their hybrids in my opinion. Their hybrids fully encompass the best of both the Indica and Sativa world’s. If you are on the fence about whether you like an “upper” or a “downer,” figure that out later…
Do YOU like 💚🍪 Cookies? - Key Lime Cookies Will Satisfy 🔥🍪🌿 with Evermore and The Maryland Connoisseur 😎
Very glad to have Key Lime Cookies back in my collection, this hard hitting hybrid strain from @evermorecompany really delivers the pain relief... And quickly at that.
Testing in at 30% + total cannabinoids (yay another member of the 30% Club) and a very wicked terpene profile at 1.15% with B Myrcene (0.36%) and Limonene (0.39%) being the two most well represented... The strain achieves active relaxation if that makes any sense... Good for working through stressful issues as the stress is just that much less and the energy it gives is much appreciated through the working day.
And with almost any Evermore flower the aroma is just North of Heaven...
The Key Lime Experience
This dessert-worthy weed strain is a whirlwind of a hybrid. Fast-acting, patients are ensnared in a hazy mental experience and a calming relaxation after just a few tastes.
For many, this happy-hearted flower is a “one and done” kind of strain. This herb may sound innocent, but it can certainly pack of psychoactive punch. However, the overall experience is euphoric and friendly, not sinister.
Old School Effects 🔥🙏 - Bubba Kush with Curio and The Maryland Connoisseur 😎
Cultivator - Curio Wellness
This is one very powerful Indica, be prepared for hard hitting old school indica euphoric effects... Like it was back in the day.
Afghani and OG Kush team up for this Connoisseur strain... Happy feelings and good tidings abound while that nasty anxiety is whisked away at least for a few hours.
Sleep... This strain is excellent for insomnia
The Bubba Kush strain is classified as an indica strain, producing many of the effects expected from this variety, including happiness, muscle relaxation, sleepiness, couch-lock and increased appetite (here come the munchies!).
Its genetic makeup is composed of around 27% THC, making it a potent and above-average strain in regards to THC content, and its makeup is composed of 70% indica and 30% sativa. Although its genetics are not pure bred indica, don’t cut this strain short, considering it has been proven to be a wonderful choice for pain relief, insomnia, nausea, loss of appetite, stress and so much more.
Although the true origins of Bubba Kush are not 100% known, the Bubba Kush strain is believed to have OG Kush and a super potent Afghani as possible parents, with the rest of the genetic lineage sort of remaining a blur and a mystery.
Kudos @curio_wellness on another fine batch of the classic cultivar, Bubba Kush... One of my top faves 😎🔥💜🌿👊🧘♀️⚕️🔥👍
Do YOU like BIG Flavor? Wedding Cake 🍰🔥 with SunMed ☀️ The Maryland Connoisseur 😎
@sunmed.growers has over 100 new strain genetics hitting the market this season... We will attempt to photo, review and catalog as many as we can.
Starting with this review of this very nice hybrid strain from SunMed... Wedding Cake.
THE GENETICS - GSC x 🍒 Cherry Pie
Testing @ 27.5% total cannabinoids and a very healthy terpene profile testing at 2% with B Myrcene being will represented at 0.60% and B Caryophelene 0.40%... relaxation and alertness.
Good for creative activities... Long walks and plain just getting things done with a smile on your face 😀
EFFECTS + MEDICAL
Wedding Cake is a hybrid with indica-dominance. It is attained by crossing GSC with Cherry Pie.
It gives an exceptionally sweet aromatic essence and a fruity flavour. The taste is a perfect combination of sweetness of cookies and fruitiness of a cherry pie. It works as a calming agent and appetite stimulator, and is quite helpful for patients who experience regular depression-associated syndromes, fibromyalgia, MS and other such related symptoms.
Wedding Cake may act as a sedative for patients, but does help in calming down nerves or controlling anxiety stimulating symptoms. Although it might not completely hamper your focus and energy levels, it will cause the usual drying out of eyes and mouth.
This particular medical marijuana is grown under natural sunlight (thanks SunMed). It is observed to contain a THC level of 22-27% In terms of physical features, it is shaped like pine trees and looks dense in its structural form. It is quite frosty looking and has dark green and purple leaves with bright orange pistils.
Jack "H" The Ripper⚡ One Heady Sativa with SunMed 🌅 and The Maryland Connoisseur 😎
Happy St Patty's Day 🍀🌿🔥
Good afternoon fellow connoisseurs... Up next is one very fine specimen of Jack The Ripper, Subcool genetics brought to us by @sunmed.growers I've tried a little of this strain and here's thoughts:
A very nice heady sativa dom experience with just enough body roll to make this a well balanced strain... At 18% total cannabinoids it's moderate high with a well developed terp profile and classic Subcool genetics this tight aromatic bud impresses with it's quick delivery and sustained presence, hits quick and lasts long.
If you like Jack H and Cindy 99 I think you'll be into Jack The Ripper IMHO.
More on the genetics below:
Jack the Ripper, or JTR, is the flagship hybrid from TGA Genetics and was created by the breeder Subcool in an attempt make his famous Jack’s Cleaner in seed form. Described by many as the fastest lemon Haze available to date, it was created by crossing the Jack’s Cleaner clone with a vigorous Space Queen male known as Space Dude. Featuring incredibly resinous triangle-shaped buds and an intense spicy, lemon-pine aroma
OG Kush is known as a structural backbone of many premium cannabis strains, OG Kush has been one of the most popular types of bud available on the legal market in recent years, although it shares a name that’s nearly as popular as say Northern Lights or White Widow, the origins of this powerful cannabis strain still largely remain a mystery.
Hindu Kush x Northern California OG
If you’ve ever had the pleasure of sniffing top-shelf OG Kush, you’ll know that the buds have one of the aromatic scents that nature can produce – intensely nostalgic... Old School, best of the 90s lost strains and long forgotten batches.
The strain’s aroma is woodsy, piney and earthy + some caramel all at once, it immediately hits your taste buds with a spike in pleasure via sight, smell and taste... Its flavor can surprise even the most jaded of self-proclaimed connoisseurs, with none-too-subtle undertones of lemon lime fresh citrus.
Appearance-wise... OG Kush has a fairly “traditional cannabis” look, as it features the classic yellow-green sugar leaf color with orange pistils and green leaves, as you can see from this well-trimmed image from SunMed's latest batch.
After partaking of OG Kush, expect some strong euphoria mixed with intense cerebral effects to settle in, not overwhelming but nice, often followed by mild to strong couch-lock. OG Kush is considered one of the most uplifting strains, as it provides Maryland patients with a wonderful combination of body-melting euphoria and a calm, tranquil state of mind.
Stress, chronic pain and insomnia are reportedly helped with this strain, we can personally attest to the insomnia slaying powers of OG Kush in high doses, use cautiously especially if your tolerance is low to middle average.
